About eantics (me)

eantics is a very small web design agency based in Cheshire, so small it’s just me really.  I’ve been developing on the internet since 1995, mostly my own projects that I’ve run internally via eantics, a company I started over 5 years ago.

I’m not sure how it happened, but in 2005 whilst working in Finance, I got the opportunity to develop financial planning, budgeting and forecasting web applications.  At the same time, I started designing websites and developing web applications for others, things got commercial and very exciting.

Three years on I work for myself; my time is spread between two roles - running eantics and as Technical Director for the fast growing company, IFA Portals Ltd.  If you want to know more about me check out my Linked In profile.

eantics design websites; we focus on building websites that work, as far as possible they’re standards compliant, useable and accessible, but commercially they should make money, save money or build your brand, why else would you want a presence on the internet?

You didn’t ask but…

I’ve included a few relevant and irrelevant facts about eantics/me here.

  • The first website we ever built was called “The Internet Free Superstore” in 1997.  It made a bit of money from advertising. It’s long since gone.
  • We ran a Firebox type gadget business between 2002 and 2004.   It did very well until Google kicked us out of their index for dubious SEO tactics. Lesson learned!
  • I wrote a small business guide to ecommerce in 2005 - it has been widely published around the Internet.
  • I developed financial planning, forecasting and budgeting web applications for Big Food Group/Iceland in 2005.
